MR2 (MR Square): A Mixed-Reality Meeting Room
نویسندگان
چکیده
Our new meeting room, the MR Square, was built as a testing ground of a variety of multimedia user interfaces and applications. The MR Square features mixed-reality technologies such as wide-area trackers and tens of head mount displays, as well as one 200-inch and two 150-inch screens. Participants sit and collaborate in fully wired, retractable seats. The MR Square illustrates how state of the art multimedia technologies can be incorporated into a meeting room.

imagine space fused with data a model for mixed reality architecture
The paper presents a conceptual model of a Mixed Reality architecture by the fusion of physical and digital space exemplified with the Murmuring Fields scenario. The concept of spatial perception is supported by perceptive interfaces superimposing different levels of reality. This situation shapes the performers experience of being present in Mixed Reality space by acting. The structure of this...
متن کاملCase Studies of See-Through Augmentation in Mixed Reality Project
This paper introduces two case studies of augmented reality (AR) system, which use see-through HMDs. The rst case is a collaborative AR system called ARHockey that requires real-time interactive operations, moderate registration accuracy, and a relatively small registration area. The players can hit a virtual puck with physical mallets in a shared physical game eld. The other case study is the ...
متن کاملImproving the RoboCup Mixed Reality Server with Automatic Repositioning of Robotic Soccer Players
Automation of all the phases of a game, limiting human intervention, is one of major goal of the RoboCup soccer leagues. Currently, most of RoboCup’s leagues are mainly concerned with increasing the autonomy of robot players when the game is going on, but not when the game stops, for example after a fault or goal, or at corner or goal kick events. The purpose of this work is to provide the serv...
متن کاملA Component-Oriented Approach for Mixed Reality Applications
This chapter introduces a component-oriented approach for developing mixed reality (MR) applications. After a short definition of mixed reality, we present two possible solutions for a component-oriented framework. Both solutions have been implemented in two different MR projects (SAVE and AMIRE). The first project, SAVE, is a safety training system for virtual environments, whereas the goal of...
متن کاملProposal of international voluntary activities on establishing benchmark test schemes for AR/MR geometric registration and tracking methods
We collectively term the framework for the proposed benchmark test, as well as evaluation software now in the pipeline and the body of evaluation data as TrakMark, with the group assigned to work thereon as the TrakMark WG. This title borrows from terms often found in the PC field, such as PCMark and 3DMark. Establishment of the TrakMark WG was approved at the 33rd SIG-MR Committee Meeting held...
